Pupils in Years 3-7 reside in Cotlake House, a family-style boarding house located within the Prep School, managed by a professional husband and wife team supported by resident boarding assistants. The wellbeing of each boarder is paramount, with a focus on ensuring that every child feels happy, settled, relaxed, and confident. High standards of pastoral care are evident in the affectionate relationships between boarders and staff, who prioritise communication with parents through regular updates and photos of weekend activities. Cotlake House is a comfortable, three-storey residence that feels like home, featuring a large communal lounge with Sky TV, a Games Room with table football and gaming consoles, and a kitchen for evening snacks and supervised cooking.
MEET THE HOUSEPARENTS

Houseparents Henry & Ali Burlingham use their experience of raising their own three boys to create a warm, family orientated boarding house. Another key member of the house is the family pet; a working cocker spaniel called Scramble, who along with their three sons also lives in Cotlake. The Cotlake Houseparent team are passionate about providing a safe, friendly and fun home for their boarders. They all have considerable experience of supporting children as they grow up and face different challenges. They believe that by using key values to create a positive and safe community and by encouraging independence in a nurturing environment, helps children take responsibility for their own personal growth resulting in happy, resilient teenagers.
